The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is the largest multi-specialty physician practice in Washington, DC that is conveniently located in one building.
The Cheney Cardiovascular Institute is closely aligned with the GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA). MFA is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) physician group practice corporation comprising the academic clinical faculty for The George Washington University Medical Center. In its sixth year of existence, the MFA has grown to include more than 280 physicians providing medical care in 41 specialty areas. Aside from its expertise in patient care, medical education and scientific research, the MFA is leading the way to modernize the practice of medicine with the adaptation and implementation of technology to improve the patient experience.
The Cheney Cardiovascular Institute encompasses MFA's division of cardiovascular medicine with its cardiac professionals, many whom specialize in heart disease prevention, imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, nuclear, heart failure and more. Through the MFA, the Institute provides high-quality heart care and a longstanding tradition of caring for the hearts in our local community.
